Acrylic painting of a celestial female figure surrounded by plumeria flowers and rays of pastel light.

Hathor is the goddess of love, beauty, music, and joy — the heart of celebration and connection in the Egyptian pantheon. She embodies the pleasure of being alive and the harmony that comes when the soul is fully expressed. In the Book of the Dead, Hathor appears as a welcoming presence in the afterlife. She receives the deceased with warmth and compassion, often emerging from the western mountain — the place where the sun sets and the soul begins its new journey. Her laughter and light guide the spirit toward renewal. Often shown with cow horns and a sun disk, Hathor represents joy as a sacred act — a bridge between heaven and earth. Through music, beauty, and love, she reminds us that delight is not fleeting; it is divine.
